The project empowered 75 ultra-poor families to build economical self-reliance through goat distribution & IGA training.
The Marginal Family Development Project (PRPP), implemented by RSUF in Rajbari, empowers ultra-poor families through livestock rearing and skill development to build sustainable livelihoods. In the first phase ending in November 2023, 50 ultra-poor households received two goats each, supported by veterinary care, homestead gardening advice, savings guidance, and handicraft training. In the second phase (October–November 2024), 25 new beneficiaries completed Income-Generating Activity (IGA) training and selected healthy goats directly from local weekly markets. To ensure ownership and long-term sustainability, beneficiaries co-funded a small portion of the goat costs, while RSUF provided formal asset distribution ceremonies and 12 months of monthly follow-up monitoring.
