RSUF Tree Distribution Project

The "Greening Bangladesh" project by RSUF distributed 1,586 tree saplings to 793 students across six primary schools to promote environmental responsibility among young learners. To ensure long-term sustainability, a Green Club was established in each school. These clubs consist of two teachers for oversight, alongside two student representatives per class (Class 3 to 5 in five schools, and Class 3 to 8 in one school) to motivate their peers. The Green Club members regularly check on the growth and survival rates of the saplings through informal conversations with students during free time and school assemblies. By building this monitoring network, the project successfully transformed a basic tree distribution program into a lasting, student-driven environmental movement.
